Milton Court

Project Overview

AMS Heating & Plumbing Ltd successfully completed a significant heating system upgrade at the communal areas of Milton Court, a high-rise block primarily serving residents aged 55 and over. Previously, the communal heating and hot water systems were managed by two Worcester Combi gas boilers alongside a large hot water cylinder. The existing setup maintained the heating and hot water supply but was becoming increasingly costly and less efficient.

Understanding the need for a more economical and environmentally sustainable heating solution, AMS Heating & Plumbing carried out the removal of the existing gas central heating system, including radiators, replacing it with an advanced air source heat pump system with new radiators and hot water cylinder. The new air source heat pumps was strategically installed in the secure cage adjacent to the rear courtyard, ensuring both security and optimal operation conditions.

This replacement project was designed not only to significantly reduce the communal areas’ energy costs but also to decrease CO2 emissions, aligning with broader environmental objectives.

The new heating system now provides reliable, consistent heating and hot water to the communal areas, enhancing comfort while contributing to sustainability and cost savings. This project demonstrates AMS Heating & Plumbing’s commitment to delivering modern, energy-efficient heating solutions tailored to the specific needs of residential communities in South Wales.
